The son of actors Nagarjuna andAmala, Akhil made his acting debut as a baby who leaves his home in the comedy film Sisindri (1994), aged one. He is the grandson of actor and film producer Akkineni Nageswara Rao. He is of Telugu descent on his father’s side, and on his mother’s side he is of Bengali and Irish descent.

Akhil Akkineni bagged a massive disaster with his debut film,The actor is taking so much of time for his second film. However, the script selection is not happening easily.

The Young Turk is being unlucky for himself. Akhil made any announcement that he is working with Oopiri fame VamshiPaidipalli for his second  project. He lambasted media on Twitter after they said the project is shelved. He went on to say that media should talk to him before publishing such news and he is very much working with Vamshi.

But then the project is gone. A Few days ago, Akhil went on to tweet again that he is working with Hanu Raghavapudi for this project. And that makes Vamshi media news true. But then days after Hanu tweet, it is coming out that Akhil severed ties with the young director as well. As all the announcements made by Akhil are getting jinxed, Nagarjuna himself is getting in to the scene.

The announcement of the next combination will be made by Nagarjuna himself. We are told that Vikram Kumar who gave a memorable film for Akkineni family with Manam may be thechoosen man. The announcement is likely to come on 29th of this month which happens to be Nagarjuna’s Birthday. Let’s see if this project happens.
